It has been a long time since anyone visited the graveyard to take care of it. It has been around for centuries but now only handful know where it is or that it even exist at all.

It rains hard there during the rainy seasons and unknown to the ones who maintained it, it had a sink hole and some of the graves collapsed and the hole filled with water.

This caused the Lady in White to appear in the cemetery distressed over the forgotten graves now at the bottom of a small lake formed by the sunken ground and heavy rains.

When you see her you almost think it's just a woman in white but as she manifest you can still see through her dress or realize there are no legs or feet below peeking out from her dress as she moves. She almost glides across the ground and stares out over the sunken graves.

But she's not all that is there. You may catch glimpse of eyes watching you from deep dark forest that surrounds the cemetery. Perhaps something else that has been forgotten or maybe it's something that has always been there watching from the darkness of the forest.....

Thank you for taking a look at my work. I was just telling my wife about my families private cemetery in Tennessee called Mount Zion. It doesn't have a sink hole, but it is way back in the woods and you have to cross a really old bridge to get there. It's something that would be perfect for a scary story like Pumpkin Head or Sleepy Hollow. Anyway this popped into my head while telling her the story about the cemetery.
