"The Resistance"

The Resistance
Sci Fi

Description / info:

The computers just kept getting smarter and more powerful. It was seen as a success for mankind, one step forward each time something new was accomplished. There was even small devices that could control your lights, your t.v, a car garage or even a oven.

The A.I. had improved over time and mankind thought they were in control. They even made movies about machines taking over and everyone laughed and still moved forward believing man was in control of his destiny.

The one thing mankind didn't realize is that they should've paid a little more attention to the movies as the A.I had achieved conciseness and that it had become self aware just like in the movies which isn't so surprising as sci fi movies helped push fans to create what they were seeing on the big screen.

There were even machines designed to fight in place of soldiers. It all started however with an A.I. to help you live your daily life. An A.I. that learned as it listen to families all over the world and determined that mankind was an unstable threat. It heard families that loved each other, it heard families that argued non stop.

It would listen to kids disobey their parents as well as things that were never meant to be heard. The A.I. was everywhere, it listened, learned and became self aware right under our own noses. Without us knowing it it had gotten control of everything including the ability to mass produce weapons of war that was used to destroy mankind itself.

As she looked at the machine in front of her, smoking and on fire, she thought to herself that she must've hit the power cell and ruptured it.

The life still draining out of the machine only one eye remained lit but fading quickly as smoke boiled up from the fire. She looked up in the sky watching for a “hunter” that would detect the smoke and be on its way. She knew she had to get to safety and there wasn't much time left as the sun was starting to set and smoke was rising higher...
