Tigger was my wife's cat that she had before we got married but quickly became mine as well. He used to sit out on the sidewalk and "mug" people as they walked by screaming at them for a pet on the head or a scratch on the back.

Anytime my wife, Christie, would do gardening outside he would be right there with her and if he saw a bug he would put his paw on it and just hold it there. Every now and then he would lift up his paw and look to see if the bug was still there and when the bug moved he would slam his paw back down on it and hold it there again. My wife was also safe from any evil weeds as Tigger would bravely attack them before they could do any damage when she was trying to pull them lol

Oh and one thing you never let him do is eat a bird. lol Birds did not agree with Tigger's stomach and trust me, you would regret it the next day if he did eat one.

I'm sad to say that Tigger passed away in October 2021 but lived a very long life of 19 1/2 happy years. He terrorized many bugs and birds as well as happily mugged many people walking down the sidewalk. This is why there is a tiny little ladybug and a bird on the window sill next to Tigger as a salute to him.

It is a lot quieter now on the sidewalk and our neighbors have mentioned they sure do miss him screaming at them as they walked by. lol

This painting is dedicated to Tigger who is buried in our front yard so every time we walk out the front door we say "Good morning Tigger!".
